Michele M. Granger, EdD, ITAA, is a Full Professor in the Fashion and Interior Design Department, College of Business Administration, at Missouri State University. She has authored seven textbooks with expertise in the areas of fashion merchandising, internships, and entrepreneurship. In addition to academics, Granger has worked in the industry as a buyer, manufacturer's representative, specialty store owner, and currently as a presenter and consultant.

It was really helpful to have access to so many job types at one time so paging through it I could bookmark potential jobs from Product Management to Fashion Photographer to Visual Merchandiser. It covers the full spectrum and is a great resource for anyone still in college looking for their dream job! Sometimes its hard to match your skill set with a real job title and description but this book makes it so easy!! I definately recomend it to anyone in the design, fashion, or arts fields.

for anyone who's considered the wonderful world of fashion as a career, this book has a great range of the specific job titles, challenges, duties and typical progression to help you narrow down what job you want. the book is divided by categories that match the stages of development, ie. forecasting trends, manufacturing textiles, fashion sales (ie. retail) and merchandise marketing and related fields such as spa/wellness and interiors.

Needed this for Class

This is a required textbook for one of my Fashion Classes/Lectures in my college. As long as I had gotten it, I was fine, and I got it in time, so I was good. Point of me getting it from Amazon was that it was cheaper than getting it from my college's Bookstore. Nothing bad about this :)

I love how the entire book is basically a rundown of probably all of the careers offered in the fashion world! It gives you the Job, a detailed Job Description, the Qualifications, the Experience/Education needed, and sometimes even the challenges these certain people might face. I will definitely be keeping and using this in the near future, for when I get one of these positions, and when I also have to know about the other positions that would be working around me.

Excellent continuing story from Borderline. Great characters.

A thrilling read.

D'Marcus Jefferson, also known as 'Snap' is a DEA agent who knows how to trust his instincts. When he first sees Kenneth Santos he thinks the man is an addict and is disinclined to even talk to the man. But Kenneth had asked to speak to him specifically, even though they had never met before.

If you have read the first book in this series, you would understand why, when Snap first saw Kenneth he also rang his mate Mac and asked him to come down to the office and take a look at the young man for himself. Kenneth is the spitting image of Tanner, Mac's partner. But Tanner doesn't think he has any family. Anyhow, that is a sub-plot in the story but it helps create another interesting angle on the drug running operations.

Snap and Ken have an almost instant attraction, even though both of them know that nothing can come of it. Ken has given Snap and Mac information about two drug shipments and now the DEA plan to send Ken back into the cartel to learn more. Kenneth seems resigned to the fact that no matter what happens to him, he is going to end up dead. The man who set Ken up and sent him to Snap in the first place told him he would die if he didn't go through with the information drop. If the cartel find out that Ken has told the authorities then he will be killed by them. All in all, have a short life span kinda takes the romance out of anything.

Ken is in a serious situation and while he trusts Snap, he also knows that Snap will insist that he has to do his job.

So he does. This is not a pretty story - all lovey-dovey and roses. Snap and Ken can't stay away from each other but with Ken working as a mule, and for the DEA their time together is always rushed and as unsatisfying for the reader as it is for the two men involved. Tanner and Mac make for some interesting reading and as I had read the first book in the series I was glad to see that the two men were as committed to each other as ever.

This book can be read as a standalone, but honestly you would understand more about the drug running operations and cases that Snap and Mac are working on, if you have read the previous book. Snap and Ken do get their HEA but it wasn't as believable as the one between Mac and his partner Tanner (in book one) but that is probably because in a lot of this book the two MCs are apart. This is still a thrilling read and if you like a strong storyline along with your romance then I definitely recommend this book.

This was an interesting book. I really enjoyed the first one and even though you see some of the same characters, this one was not quite as good for me. I did like Ken, but it felt like he was always putting himself down. Once he had started to receive some attention from Snap, I expected the self-deprecation to diminish. However, it didn’t. That kind of grated on my patience, but I get why Chase would continue to bring it up.

Snap was an interesting character. I really liked him – you could feel how honest he was. And, despite his reservations about Ken, Snap’s character was so good that he was able to see what Ken was trying to do.

The mystery continues – I was intrigued to know who was the mysterious whistle blower...I have my suspicions, but really want to see what is in store of the rest of the characters. I hope that we get to see Dalton in an upcoming book, because even though I hate him – I want to see what his character is all about. Also, I would like to continue this series because I really am hoping that Chase will write Victor’s story - he is the most interesting character for me.

Even though this book was only lukewarm for me, I really did like the way that T.A. Chase developed her characters. It was not a rush, per say, you got to know them, their motivations and emotions. Each character stood on their own, while learning to lean on each other.

It was a good story of drug smuggling and the drug cartels. The story had a nice twist on how Ken fit into the whole drug scene.

Ken and Snap were an interesting pair. Ken was a recovering addict and Snap was the DEA agent. I liked how Snap wasn't worried if anyone found out about his feelings for Ken. It was great how Snap was so trusting of Ken, even with his background. Ken was awesome helping the agents. Both of them seemed to be looking for a little more to happen in their relationship.

The story had a good ending to it. I felt it was a good read and I enjoyed it, but it just didn't have the "wow, it was amazing" feel for me.

When Ken walks into a DEA office with information he will only give to Agent D’Marcus “Snap” Jefferson, it becomes Snap’s responsibility to keep the former junkie safe. But Ken’s identity is an enigma that proves to be almost as dangerous as his job as an informant.

This is the second book in the Delarosa Secrets series and while it should be read after Borderline, much of the backstory is filled in for new readers. I love the way this story develops threads from the first book and leaves several things to be resolved in a future book.

I love the way the characters in these books are so multi-faceted. The author hasn’t written good guys and bad guys; she writes complicated, deeply flawed human beings. The attraction between Snap and Ken is instant and their chemistry is explosive. The sex scenes are hot, but I’m still not sure I believe the straight-laced-boy-scout DEA officer would really risk so much for instant sexual gratification.

Anyone wanting a great suspense series with hot sex between men in uniform will enjoy Delarosa Secrets.

Worth the price

This book is definitely worth the price. It is costly, but still, worth the price. If you have a team of people who are descent to work with GDB but are not familiar with it yet, simply buy it. If you are an individual - this book is very pricy to afford. However, you can buy Safari Books Online subscription (~250$) and read the book itself, as well as many other books available there. So, make sure to decide whether it pays off. Of course this is an option only in case you don't need the book at your bookshelf.

That's about the price. As for the content, what you get here are practical examples (tutorial style) that show you how to deal with memory related issues in your code. Book (transcript) is very accurate. It covers most recent release of GDB at OS X. It is superbly up to date. Thanks to the tutorial style you will get your hands dirty through out the whole book. Samples are very well prepared and are ready to go just after downloading them.

One remark here. This book is not intended to entertain you with the text. What you get here are plain, bare, facts. You get list of steps to reproduce and very little explanation of what you do. Some engineering experience is required to fully benefit from it. As this book is a transcript form the training course you would probably benefit more by attending the course itself. On the other hand, if you know the basics of C, assembler and OS X you will find it very useful while studyingGDB and memory related issues in the code. It should pay off. When it comes to me, I haven't bought it even though it's a worthy stuff. I have found it accidentally at Safari Books and was really, really positively surprised with the content.

This book is in many ways its own worst enemy; it sets out to teach the art of leadership coaching to deliver elite performance yet it manages to take potshots at itself and doesn’t actually lead the reader.

The core concept is good and this is a new, revised edition of a proven work, written by many successful, active contributors from the field but it just lacks that common voice to draw you in. So it feels at times that there is a lot of leakage, you are not focussing on the book as much as you could, you are not getting its full benefit and you are not being entirely motivated along the way.

It is split into twenty relatively short chapters and it is probably best that the reader reads one chapter and then puts it down for a while. That way you may get more out of it than struggling with a sequential, long-read. Things are not as bleak as you may feel, yet it is frustrating that you cannot easily deeply immerse yourself into the topic as you may wish in one session. At least, to this reviewer, it felt incredibly disjointed and jarring; in isolation the individual chapter components were much better, more interesting and yielded quite a lot to think about.

The editor has corralled an interesting array of subjects under one roof, looking at matters as diverse as coaching for emotionally intelligent and inspiring leadership and even coaching political leaders. There can be something for everyone and a few surprises that are still worth reading. It might be easy to think you have no need to coach a political leader and thus skip the chapter, yet it can still give a different viewpoint and something new to consider that you might otherwise have missed and there is the potential to use this knowledge in other situations.

You just need to manage your expectations and implement your plan of campaign accordingly. If you do that, maybe this book could be a useful companion for you and your work.

nursing school = buy this book

This is a MUST buy if it's not required for your nursing program. It makes care plans 100x easier, and makes you sound smarter. BUY BUY BUY. I went with one edition older because most of the time there is little to no difference between editions, but pricing makes a big difference.

I purchased this book while completing my BSN to use on a project. I found it easy to use, and most helpful with updating my perception and thinking related to nursing diagnosis. It is a small, compact book you can carry in your book bag and whip out at the drop of a hat.
Well worth the investment. I believe I will be using this book for years to come.

Good book but not a pocket guide

I like this book; however, the term "Pocket Guide" is misleading. I mistakenly thought that it would be small enough to put in a pocket in my scrubs. At about 1½ inches thick… there is no way I could keep this in a pocket.

A VERY GOOD READ!!!!!

I have waited for Rocket's (John Miglionni) story. We first met him in HEAD OVER HEELS, then he helped his buddy Zach in LUCKY SEVEN. He is a former SEAL now a PI.

When Victoria Hamilton's father is murdered, her lawyer sends John to help her find her brother. Who has run away because he thinks he killed his father when he pushed him and he fell down. He doesn't know that his father was stabbed to death.

Surprise, John and Tori had a fling 6 years earlier. The deal was no last names or regrets. So he didn't know her last name and she didn't know his.

Surprise again, They have a 5 year old daughter Esme. It's downhill from there. Tori's father was a rich, cold, manipulative clod. He was mentally abusive. When he demanded she have an abortion, she left and has lived in England for the last six years. Only her father's murder could have brought her home.

She didn't want her child raised like she was.

John's father wasn't rich but he was abusive, physically and mentally. John has always worried about becoming like his old man and works hard to control his temper. He is very insecure about his ability to maintain a relationship, and therefore, has not allowed himself to become emotionally involved with a woman.

Now he has no choice, not only has he never forgotten Tori, he has a daughter to think about, he is something he had never expected to be, a father.

During all this he has to try to catch a murderer and prove Tori's brother did not kill her father.

This book is not quite as lighthearted and humerous as the first two. But I loved it. John not only has to work out the mystery, but he has to learn who he is, after all these years of letting his father's opinion rule his life. He must discover that he is a worthwhile being, and that he is lovable, that someone can and does love him. He must learn to trust others as well as himself.

Tori has to learn to trust also. This is a book about lives touching lives and the damage that can carry over from childhood to adulthood. It also reveals the courage that can change all of that. Sometimes it just takes faith.

Since I read my first Susan Andersen book (EXPOSURE, still my favorite) She has always delivered a wonderful reading experience. This is no exception.

exciting private investigation romance

In Colorado Springs, Ford Hamilton thinks his two children from different women are major disappointments. His oldest Victoria got pregnant with some nameless jerk and refused to abort; instead she raises her daughter Esme by herself. His teenage son Jared is an angry loser with a history of trouble with the law. Ford's feelings towards his offspring end when someone stabs him in his heart with his letter opener.

The police believe that the missing Jared killed his father following a public brawl, but Victoria cannot believe her sensitive half-brother would harm anyone. John "Rocket" Miglionni visits his firm's new client only to receive the shock of his life when he sees Tori. They met on vacation, but she left on an emergency and never returned honoring his wishes of just the moment between first names. John receives a greater shock when he meets his daughter five years old Esme. John wants in his child's life, but also realizes he needs her mother too, but first must solve the homicide and the disappearance, which both seem easier than persuading his Tori that they belong together.

This exciting private investigation romance hooks readers the moment John sees his client and explodes when he meets his child. Though coincidence plays a minor role, the action-packed story line moves forward on two paths (the relationship between the two stars and the homicide- missing person inquiries) that eventually converge when the life of the lead female is in jeopardy. Readers will gain pleasure from this quality romantic suspense thriller.

A Good Ending To This Series!

Ms. Andersen has finally delivered us John "Rocket" Miglionni's story and it was well worth the wait to see this tough guy fall in love with Victoria Hamilton, the one woman that ever walked away from him!

John is out of the Marines and is now a P.I. who has been asked to look for a missing teen who may or may not have been involved in a murder. He is not aware that this missing boy is in fact related to the one woman that he has not forgotten, but only knew as "Tori". His world spins out of control when he finds out that not only is this case hitting close to home, he also finds out he's a daddy! Yes, Rocket is a daddy and that may be even more terrifying then being under fire! Will he be able to juggle his new responsiblity, his ever growing attraction to Victoria, and the case that he has been handled before Jared (Victoria's younger half-brother) is arrested for murder?

This book was a fast read and John and Victoria are a great romance couple. There is never a dull moment between them and Esme (John and Victoria's daughter) is a sweet addition to this great cast of characters that yes, include visits from old friends. This was a fun book and one that I think you will enjoy.
