When that happens, America’s two most populous states, carrying the largest number of Electoral College votes, will be Latino. New Mexico is already there. New York, Florida, Arizona, and Nevada are shifting rapidly. Latino populations since 2000 have doubled in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, and South Dakota. The US is undergoing a substantial and irreversible shift in its identity.

Great read on Hispanic Americans

Just finished the book. It is extremely thorough and filled with many important details of who Latinos are, what they think and where they are going. Authors draw on an extensive array of survey (polling) data and they collaborate with about a dozen other scholars from across the country. This is the definitive volume on Hispanic Americans and politics. I highly recommend to policy makers, campaign strategists, and anyone interested in the future of our country.

Excellent research, data analysis, and forecasting. This book is a must read for anyone wanting to see what the United States will look like in the next generation. If you're at all interested in demography, futures studies, or marketing, read this book.
