Great book to help a teacher who has never thought much about how education and worldview are related

The book is not a heavy-weight philosophical tome, but rather a practical assistant for anyone wanting to think more carefully about how their worldview and philosophy of education are related. The book could profitably be used in a teacher education class or by a small group of active teachers who want to think together about shapes their daily choices in the classroom. If you're interested in becoming more reflective rather than succumbing to the daily pressure to simply perform, this book could be very helpful. Dr. MacCullough doesn't push specific conclusions, but challenges every teacher to think carefully about the goals of teaching, the nature of students, their own role and their curricular choices. I'm planning to use the book with Christian school administrators in Asia who have a very different educational background from the US experience that seems to be presupposed by the author. However, I believe that the reflective questions in the book will be of value beyond the US.
